What is a sure way to make my exhaust louder without swaping mufflers or cut them off? I have Flowmaster 50s delta flow, and they are dumped after the mufflers. I dont want to spend much money.

i would think by having less pipe from the header to the muffler would do the trick.

yea, it seems like it would, and maybe even make it deeper, cause now when you mash the gas, you can feel it inside the truck. Id just want to know for sure before i did it.

hmmm well where is the mufflers mounted right now? im sure the less pipe you have the shorter distance the sound has to travel to reach the muffler. so in the end it would be alittle louder if not a lot louder. would be a question for an exhaust shop

i guess i'll just leave it as it is. I don't want to end up with an all hacked up exhaust system after i spent $300 including the mufflers. If i find a really good deal on flowmaster super 40s, i'll swap then.

Put more pipe after the muffs and some big tips, that will give it the growl you are wanting. if you move the muffs closer to the engine, put about 2 foot of pipe ended in a 5 in diameter tip that is about a foot long, itll sound awesome.
Been there done that, I used to install flows all the time, worked there for over 5 years, and we made some pretty sweet sonds.
