save your money and do it all at once if you want lockers, that way you don't have to pay another $500 for the locker install, most shops will install the lockers for free if you buy them at the shop and have them installed at the same time since the carriers have to come out anyways. Percision Gears or Yukon(their main gears, not their "value jap" gears) gears are really the only two i'd recommend. Genuine (what 4wp pushes) is their line of gears and are pretty much jap crap as well. There are, of course, cheaper set sout there, bust mostly cheap jap shiaet and don't carry any warranty. As far as what ratio to recommend i'd say if you have an auto tranny and do a decent bit of city driving a set of 4.88's would work well for you. If you do more high-speed highway driving the 4.56's would be a step up as well, although you might not feel a huge difference between those and you're 4.10's. I think you'd be happy with the extra power of the 4.88's just so long as you're not constantly driving 85-90 mph everywhere

well most likely i will be installing it all myself i've done a fair share of rear ends in my race cars and crap..... but i've never done nething 4 wheel drive i figure it can't be to hard right..... or correct me if i'm wrong!!!! so what type of a locker would you go with an air one or sumthing else?? my truck hardly ever see's 70 mph so sounds like i'd go with the 4.88s, most of my driving is either town or in the mud and sumtimes the occasional trip to the mall in the truck or sumthign but not all that much......

Just wanna comment on the pre assembled diffs from Northwest Off Road. I bought 5.29's with trutrac lockers pre assembled and they have ran great ever since I had them. Recommended for all Toyota owners.
