This was posted by bigramman03 on DTW and I thought I would post it on here. I think he is running a 6 inch suspension and a 3 inch body lift and some cutting.... "I saw this picture on here the other day, and I think they truck looks bad***, but I saw that he say's it's only a 6 inch lift with 39.5 Iroks. So I shot him an e-mail asking him if he knew what kind of lift it was and how he got 39.5s under only 6 inches of lift. He said that he bought it that way (which I took to mean he wasn't sure), but he did say that the guy he bought it from told him that he had to trim a little bit off of the bumper at the bottom of the wheel well. Doesn't look like he did much trimming to me and I don't know how you could get 40s under only 6 inches with out having to do a considerable amount of trimming. body lift as well maybe? Any ideas on what type of lift or how he did it?" I think he is running a 6 inch suspension and a 3 inch body lift and some cutting.... The reason why I am posting this on here is becasue I am going to be running the same size tires but 16 inches of lift. My truck is going to be huge!! I think my rocker panels are going to be flush with my tires!!

Ya, but the funny thing is Fiji he is clearing them with 9 inches of lift and I am going with 16 inhces. WOW am I going to have over kill or what.... Me personally I dont like tires that are packed in the wheel wells. That is my .02 cents!!

Fiji, that probably is the same truck. The guy is from Lousisana and he just bought it used/already had the lift and tires on it from some guy.

This is what I am going with Bigreen and you are saying 44's will fit.....
10 inch susthingyon 3 inch body lift 2 to 3 inch torsion bar crank
So roughly a total of 15 to 16 inches of lift but you have to remember I have a 1500 as well. I mean I have already bought the 39.5X15.50X17 Trxus STS/AT. But looking at that truck I am going to have alot of clearance on my 40's!!!

oh ok...i would never rely on getting anymore than 1.5" out of torsion bars...yees all are different, but ive never seen a full 2" come from cranking...i would just claim around 14" and use that to judge tire size. height is one thing when judging it, but in regards to rubbing...that is mainly going to come from width. like in that other pic i posted for ya, those are sooo narrow that they are already inside the fenders and cant hit. those 10 wides will make it easier to clear than any real wide rim...i guess since u already bought the 39s...run em and see.... but u should be able to clear up to a wide setup (12 wide rim) 42" in my opinion...but 44's may be too tall and wide to avoid trimming even on the 10's#bruce_h4h#

Thanks for the pic Fiji, but what is going to kill me is the width not the height. Is that what you truck looked like back in the days....
