I believe I heard its possible - just a stiff spring rate. I found a great deal on a skyjacker 5" suspension lift, but the thing is its off a 99 diesel dodge. Would this suspension still work on my 01 1/2 ton. It looks like it comes with new rear leafs - are they the same width / length as the 1/2 tons or are they larger. Any input would be appreciated, and thanks

I did do some research since I posted this and on the v-10 and diesels they have a wider leaf then the gas v-8s. I could put different spring perches or just do a shackle flip in the rear and sell the wider rear leafs. I believe the front is all interchangable, the only thing now I am not sure on is the drop pitman arm on a 1/2 vs diesel front axle.

That's not all that's different. I'm pretty sure your '01 has different size bolts in the link arms than the '99-older, so you will need to purchase the correct bushing sleeves(or reducers if the links have the crappy heim joints). The pitman arms are different. Your 1500 will need a Skyjoker DA300, while the '99 2500 uses a DA302. They can be purchased separate of a "kit", so no big deal there. The extra 2" of lift you'll get from the diesel coils will also cause the front axle to be pulled back toward the cab.

Thanks for the info guys. I plan on making a few calls tomorrow to make sure I can get the parts I need. The price he is asking the extra stuff I need to get is still worth it. If I do get it I won't put it on till spring so I got plenty of time to get all the stuff I need.

everything would be the same minus the rear leaf spring the 3/4 ton and 1 ton rigs come with 3" wide rear springs, the 1/2 tons have 2.5" wide springs..
also the pitman arm would probably be different, the spline count...

He already figured out that the rear springs wouldn't work, but not all 3/4ton's used 3" wide rear springs as you seem to suggest. Light duty 3/4tons use the same 2.5" wide springs as a 1/2ton. I already identified the difference in pitman arms(even went so far as to list correct part numbers).
