Here's some pics of the LPG installation in my Hummer : it's installed in my trunk here's the 120 litres tank, nicely covered up to the left, is where I hook up the hose to fill up the LPG tank. It goes in in a liquid form and is transformed into gas afterwards. Very safe and cheap. Switch LPG / regular gas and amount of LPG left in tank, located next to steering wheel. I can switch from LPG to regular gas by the push of a button, even while driving. Very very very easy !! Frenzy Belgium

How is the power on propane (LPG) Is it about the same as gas, or less or more?? Chris

It's a little less than on regular gas Chris. but, with an engine this powerful (325 hp, 5.7 v8), you don't feel the difference at all. You can only feel it when you're driving lpg with a little engine.

so how can that be safe to carry the lp tank in the back of your hummer? i would think that if you were to get rearend by a truck or the same size or bigger there would a nice mushroom cloud of fire and smoke, but i maybe wrong

Nope Matt. LPG installation are nowadays even safer then regular gas. They were tested in collosions and they do not explode. I feel pretty safe drivin' with it and there are lots of people who drive LPG and I never heard of a bad accident.

thats cool then, thing is over here not very many people have that setup. i have seen one truck with that and it was an older chevy from the 80's and my mom told me of a friend of hers had this old ram that had it but that was years ago.

Also think it's harder to find places to fill up the truck with LPG in the States. Here , it's available in lots of gasstations.
