Guess who locked herself out of her truck this morning? When i had the alarm system installed, they made it so the doors lock automatically when I start the truck. I loaded some stuff into the passenger seat this morning, leaned over and started the truck, and when i got around to the driver's side....oops. Marshall and I tried to break in through the cap and using coat hangers, but now I'm at work and he's with the running truck waiting for the locksmith...yes I do have a spare but it's at my parent's house. I used to wear a spare key around my neck and I guess I should do that again. stupid stupid stupid.

Sorry to hear about that Holly, it happens to the best of us. Here is a story for ya and I am glad it was not me...
Me and a few friends were out mudding a few years ago and my buddy in his F150 went through the mud hole first and got badly stuck. Well the good thing was the truck was still running. But when he got out to check it out he shut the door and it locked. Now picture this; stuck in the mud, engine on and the doors looked. LOL Not a very good picture! It was funny as hell if you ask me. Well it was about 45 minutes later and he was tired of it so he broke the rear siding window. After that I pulled him out and all that I could think of was PRICELESS!!!

Wow that is a bummer. I'm glad we didn't need to break in and that I wasn't stuck in the mud!
Thanks for getting my truck back to me Marshall!

I did that too about 2 weeks ago at school. In the mornings, i turn my cellphone off before i get out of my truck, and was distracted by that, and got out of my truck, locked the door with the key in the ignition. I didnt realize it till i was in my first class and had my hand in my pocket, and guess what? the keys weren't in there, and i was like.....oh sh*t. So luckly, i remembered i had a spare key at home, and so i called home after lunch on my cell phone, and had them bring it to school, and everything worked out fine. now im wondering if i should get a box somewhere under my truck with the spare key in it. lol

I've only locked myself out of a vehicle once. I drove a '79 Chrysler Newport my Junior and most of Senior yr. of highschool and I would hang out at a local Christian coffee house on the weekends. Went out one night, was on the phone getting out of the car...shut and locked the door and no keys. Luckily a guy pulled up I sorta knew, he had a coat hanger and was able to use it to unlock the door. I keep a spare key with me to my Ram, but have never had to use it.
