Just to tell y'all that I'm very satisfied with the BFGoodrich 315/17 all terrain tires on my ride. Because it were the standard tires on the Hummer, I can still use 'em in Belgium (where offroad tires are outlawed normally).
Good grip, safe, ... gotta test 'em on terrain pretty soon !

I use BFG AT KO's on everything but JR, they are a perfect mid-point tire between aggressive and street.
They have gotten my Blazer, 2 of My Ford Rangers I had, and the Mutineer through more than you would think.
They are awesome.

Normally, we can't put 'em on a truck ('cause they're off road tires, and those are forbidden by belgian law). But, on the Hummer, it's accepted, 'cause they are original on the truck. You can buy 'em in Belgium, but cops can give you a fine for driving with them.

thats stupid, why sell them if your going to get a ticket for them? anyway you could put them on any truck and say they were original from the factory.

That's indeed stupid. Guess every country has some stupid laws... lol Here's how it goes : you buy a car / truck (new or second hand) and you go with it to automobile inspection. There they check if the tires are the right size, if the suspension hasn't been altered, if the lights are installed correct, ... And, then you get a "green card" with which you can use the car on our public roads. And, if you change anything about your car/truck afterwards, you're doing something against the law. Which means you can get fines and you're not insured anymore. So if I'd put superswampers on my hummer, and I get an accident, my insurance won't pay anything.

Could you use directional all terrain tires - I would think they are considered all terrain, but they are pretty aggressive?

Hey JR, how many miles have you gottin outa KOs, I have em on mine and have 14,000 on them, they still look new. I got 85,000 out of my last pair and the only reason I changed them was dry-rotting, they still had 1/4 tread left on them! The ones I got now are too new to tell, and due to some allignment problems with mutineer(which have been corrected already), they already have some bad wear on them, so we'll see how they do. JR

Frenzy, looks like the BFG AT T/As come in a 37 X 12.5 for 17 in wheels. Not sure if they come any bigger than that....
