Do you paint just about everything you pull off your truck to fix/replace? I know I do. helps me see what I've done and also cleans things up a lil bit more. Anyone else do this?

To a point, yes. It helps to keep things in perspective.
I clean the hell out of everything I take off, and paint it if it needs it...

I agree JR, I clean it up and if it is not broke I don't replace it.

Yeah, I can understand that...I just love to paint things, so it's just another step for me in my repair process. Especially on my bronco because it can be down for long periods of time and I don't have to worry about it. Lets me do my best work on it

Right, UFO, but just repairing or installing, i usually dont.
I can see the advantage you are saying you get, by making the Job complete.
I once knew a guy that would paint a different color for each month of the year on things he did, then he would know, to a point, how long it has been since he replaced it.
Good Idea, but I just keep a log in the glovebox, and a log in the tool box.

lol sounds like a good idea with the different colors but thats a lot of work. i also keep a log when i change oil i write down the date and milage, and for some of the other fixes i have had to do i do the same but not always, i hate to see that the new track bar only last 2000 miles.

i have a hard enough time parking my truck long enough to FIX it, let alone paint anything! then i'd have to wait for it to dry!

the primer and paint i used on my truck was fast drying. i think the primer dried to the touch in 2 hours but for it to be 100% it took 24 hours. and the black paint was dry in like 2 hours as well. but you could add more hardener to make it dry faster
