Well, right before I left for Iraq, I bought another wheeler. This time I went bigger than my other 400's. I went with a 2007 Polaris 800 Sportsman 4x4. WOW, you can so so tell the differance, like it is night and day. I just got done closing the deal with this killer set up. So, by the time I get home on leave here in the next few weeks, they will be at my doorstep. I will post pictures when they are installed and getting down and dirty!

sounds awesome, its funny you mentioned this cause I was actually planning on getting a 700 or larger sportsman next. Course the new thundercat is pretty sweet - but 10k for a quad is hard to swing past the wife.

Well you know they say it is easier to ask for forgivness than permission! lol Well I have no complaints with my 800! Little gas the front end will just come right up and it will do over 70mph! Not bad for a 4x4.

From what I heard the new AC has been clocked around 82mph - lol, that would be sweet. And its the same size really as our 400s.

You talking about that 1000cc that AC came out with! I was over here towards the end of last year and heard that is what they were going to have it on the market towards the end of 2007!

Yep - They have one at our local dealer - it was still in the back, but he the sales guy brought me back to look at it.
On a side note, went rummage saling today and found an 04 sportsman 700 with 24hours on it, winch, snow blade, bucket, and spreader for 4800obo (its kinda tempting.

I agree, very tempting indeed! That is not a bad deal with all them extra's! I like to see that 1000cc from Artice cat, when i get home in that next few weeks on leave I am going to ride down to the dealership and check it out. Are they bigger than the 700's? Body wise!

Naw - actually same size as our 400s - in fact 400s on up are all the same frames, if I remember correct. I think the 1000cc one comes only in silver.

Well the one thing that I was wondering, I know with the Polaris they upgraded the engine and keep the same drivetrain! Something tells me that is not good. But I found this out after I bought the wheeler. But before I left for Iraq it ran like a rapped ape that's for sure.
Well I just got done with the ordering and allong with the 28's and 1.5 inch spacers I throw in a 2 inch lift kit. I will post pictures when I get home in a few weeks and install everything.
