Hey there, i'm looking for a shakle flip kit for my truck but i have a few questions. 1. if i install a flip kit do i have to do anything with my rear axle? caus if it only raises one side wouldn't that push my axle more forward?? i'm looking at a 4 inch flip kit. 2. what about shocks , i'm running a 6 inch fabtech suspension lift right now... my shocks are for a 6 inch lift... do i have to get new ones or could these work? 3. i was curious about this... they make shakle kits to lower trucks... such as these www.speedyperformanceparts.com/performance/brands.php?makeid=5&modelid=45&year=1999&partid=444so my question is can't you just flip the bracket of and get lift instead of lowering it?? 4. does any one know where i can get shackle flip kits from? 5. pinion angles? is 6 inch suspension and 4 inch flip to much for my driveshaft ? Thanks everyone, i hope someone can clear these answers up for me Joel

At least for the flip I am putting it on here is the following:
Approx 5.5 inches of lift.
No drive shaft mods, but in your case I would think that much lift you may need to start extending. Also the extra lift you will probably need longer shocks, unless you want to try making relocation brackets to hang them.
For me I need a 5 degree shim - also as you mentioned the axle is pushed foward approx 1/2" so you need a relocation block - if you find a kit this should be all included.
I know for Dodge there is at least one company that makes shackle flip - I want to say BDS, you so may want to check them out. If you know a fabricator they can make if for you too, that's how I did mine.

Thanks offroad, i found one company that makes something for a 2500hd so i just have to do a little modification to get it to work,
they also said that that they make a relocation block that moves the axle back 1 1/4 inch to its normal spot... they aslo said that i woudn't need any thing for my driveshaft but if it was to much of a strain just to get some shims,
I am planning on updateing to new shocks too now...
So new questions to add to this list above it.... Who And What model makes good dependable shocks for 9-12 inches of lift?
