I made 1 once with exhaust tubing. I had it for about a year but scraped it to make a better lookin 1. I plan on buying a 3 in tube bender for Harbor Freight for $149.00. Then I can get the bends right and biuld it the way I want. I want mine to fit up next to the cab, and then flow all the way back to the tailgate. Most bolt in roll bars dont offer any pertection with the weight of our trucks but I just want it for looks anyway.

If I wanted a roll bar for good protection Id weld and gusset it to the frame. Ive see a jeep and a ford truck with bolt in roll bars that had rolled and the bolt in bars collapesed with the weight of the vehicle. The 1 in the jeep was smashed to one side and the 1 in the truck, the bolt holes pulled out, but the truck did roll several times. Just some food for thought. Jimi
