I think fords are descent trucks. I still say mopar or no-car though. If I had my choice of trucks it would be the 650 super duty ford with tractor tires and rims on it. I'll take my goat for right now. Call me when you need to me to pull you out Panther. j/k

I've got it kinda good down here, Interco Tire is 20 minutes from my house, and they do all my balancing, they use a shop a block down the road for alignments and they do a great job. I love being able to go to shops that deal strictly with lifted and modified trucks to get things done. The people at Interco are awesome, they close at 12 everyday for lunch and they'll mount multiple tires so you can check the fit and look before you buy them, it's unbelievable.

Green, I desperately want to do a solid swap, but I don't like the look of the fabritech kits, they just seem week for the abuse I plan to put it through. LEt me know what it is that you make/sell/whatever, so I can make an appropriate descision as to my future in the sky. I want to run 40-44's and I don't need a ton of travel for mud.

hey beer guy, i can setup pretty much whatever u need...the brackets are very similar to fabritech, only beefier, and actually bigger in size, along with more braces...ill come back on after awhile and post some bracket pics. but i can do just the brackets and hardware, or everything down to the shocks. just need to know what axles, what springs, etc....all brackets will be TIG welded and look good as well and strong, although mine on my truk are ARC welded(stick)
ill get back with ya when i have more time, or email me

he's not gonna be runnin any power to it, so a d60 would be a complete waste of a good axle, not to mention a big chunk of change.

well i talked to him about the d44 he was trying to get...that wouldnt be worth the time and effort to swap over to leves(in my opinion)...so i guess hes narrowed down to the D44HD out of the late 70's F250s...or a ball jointed later d60
the way i see it, if u can buy a bigger axle, do it, nowadays u better get whatever comes along...axles arent all that easy to come across anymore. and i know brent will sell that D60 for much more of a fair price than any of those ebay jokers.
but i see ur point, a d44 is a lot cheaper if he can come across that 8 lug HD

"he's not gonna be runnin any power to it, so a d60 would be a complete waste of a good axle, not to mention a big chunk of change." It's not all about how much power you put to it! Most D60's come with the same 1310 size joint at the pinion as a D44 anyway(older Ford's like the one I have used 1330 u-bolt yokes). If you're running tires over 38" on wheels 12" or wider... you need the bearing and knuckle strength. Not to mention, the cost of a crossover arm for a king pin D60 is $100. You can't say the same for a D44, or BJ D60! Sure you can score a D44, or BJ D60 for a lower INITIAL price, but connecting the steering can quickly eat up every dime you save. I've got a local guy interested in my D60hp now, but money talks and the first person to fork it over takes the axle. I'm not really in a hurry to sell, because the longer I sit on it, the more rare they get and the higher the price for one is.

Didn't you know son Dodge makes this world go round. I had the choice between a Ford, Chevy, Dodge, and Toyota and I choice the one with the most power and aggressive look, not to mention which one I could mod more so you ford guys would have something to envy All in good fun, right?
